Meet Dr Kevin Walsh


Dr. Kevin Walsh graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax NS in 1990. He began his career practicing dentistry in the Canadian Armed Forces and was stationed to Germany. After 3 years, he and his wife Stacey (a dental hygienist) returned to Nova Scotia and spent a year in Greenwood to complete his commitment. They purchased a small dental practice from Dr. Allan Stewart in 1994 and have been in Windsor ever since. Their two daughters grew up here in Hants county.

He loves his profession and spends many hours continuing his education in the areas of implants, endodontics and surgery. He is an active member of the Atlantic Implant Study Club, the East Coast Endodontic Study Club, and the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He has served as the Chair of the Nova Scotia Dental Board from 2018-2020 and a clinical evaluator for the National Dental Board Examination since June 2017. He is also a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and has been inducted into the American Academy of Dentistry and the International Academy of Dentistry.

Outside of work, he volunteers with the provincial dental association and the provincial dental board. His spare time is spent with his family and/or on his fitness. He loves to swim, bike and run making Triathlons his favorite sport. But to really challenge himself, he loves to summit mountain peaks. In June 2015, Kevin successfully summited Mount McKinley (Denali) in Alaska. In 2017, he climbing to the top of Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. He and his wife Stacey trekked Mount Kilimanjaro in February 2019.  In June 2021, he summitted Mount Everest . He is proud to say he has now stood on the highest peak in Asia (highest in the world), Africa, North America and South America but there are 3 other mountains calling his name if he hopes to conquer the 7 summits of the world. 

He sees life and dentistry as a challenge and embraces every opportunity to improve himself.
