Dr. Lance Schaefer graduated from Dalhousie University in 2005. He began his career practicing dentistry in the Canadian Armed Forces until 2009 when he purchased a family practice in Oromocto, New Brunswick. In 2017, Dr. Schaefer and his family moved back home to the Nova Scotia to raise their two children closer to family and friends. They live in Ardoise, overlooking the beautiful Annapolis Valley. In 2017, he joined our dental family and is excited to provide quality family dentistry for Windsor and surrounding areas.
He has wanted to be a dentist since childhood. He loves the profession and has volunteered on many committees and societies for organized dentistry, including the president of the Fredericton Dental Society, Fredericton Area Representative for the New Brunswick Dental Society and others. Dr. Schaefer is also committed to giving back to the community. He co-founded Smiles for Fredericton, an annual free dental day for patients that have limited access to oral health care. He is a life-long learner and spends many hours continuing his dental education in the areas of implants, sedation, endodontics (root canals) and surgery. He is an active member of the East Coast Endodontic Study Club and the Annapolis Valley Dental Society.
Outside of work he is a committed husband and father of two. His favorite pass time is spending time with his young family and ever-growing extended family. He enjoys fine woodworking, biking, hiking, water sports and continues to educate himself on how to live a healthy lifestyle.
